Druimgrianach
Bridget Allen's home, Druimgrianach, is set in a sheltered garden with uninterrupted views, only 3 minutes walk from the sea-shore of Cuil Bay facing across Loch Linnhe.
About half-way between Fort William and Oban, a tiny road leads off through the trees and opens out onto Cuil Bay, a long shore of meadows and sea-grasses facing across Loch Linnhe to the remote hills of Morven. Silhouetted against the western sky in the middle distance is the small island of Bal-na-Gowan, dwelling of the smiths - where blacksmiths secretly made muskets during the 1745 rebellion.
Druimgrianach is a place for lovers of the sea and countryside; walking, picnics on the beach, the nearby seal centre, bicycling, and trips to the islands by ferry from Oban.
Bridget prefers to accept bookings for a minimum of 2 nights but if you ring you may get her to agree a price. The same applies if you are travelling with children or want to agree a price for a longer stay. You will need to book with your credit or debit card but payment must be made by cash or cheque.
